PADI AED for Divers

This course is designed to be an introduction to Automated External Defribillators and encompasses entry-level training designed to educate the general public to recognize the warning signs of possible cardiac arrest and provide first aid using CPR/First Aid and an AED unit while activating the local Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and arranging for evacuation to the nearest medical facility.

This program also covers the knowledge and techniques needed in first aid management of suspected cardiac arrest using an AED unit. This program includes AED use (including practical application sessions), a component relevant to diving, how to recognize signs of cardiac arrest and how to arrange for Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to assist the patient. This course builds on skills learned in the prerequisite CPR course.
